Telescope is equipped with a  THOUSAND OAKS OPTICAL 1/100000 sun filter.


Here is a picture of a sunspot group captured on 07/22/2004 with a Philips Vesta Pro camera placed at the focus of a MEADE LX 200 8" telescope equipped with a 2X Barlow lens (F/D=20). The black circle represents the scaled earth.

Below are two pictures of the same sunspot group captured respectively on 08/15/2002 et le 08/172002 with a Philips Vesta Pro camera placed at the focus of a MEADE LX 10 8" telescope equipped with a 2X Barlow lens (F/D=20).

Notice the surface of the spot drastically increasing in a 48H period. Both pictures are combinations of multiple pictures processed with IRIS software.
