Solar Eclipse 05-31-2003

Pictures on this page were captured in Netherlands near Uitdam on Markensmeer seaside (about 15 km north-east from Amsterdam). In this area ocultation level was 90% at maximum at sunrise at 5H33 UT, but unfortunately a cloudy curtain prevented us from seeing the eclipse before the sun had reached the altitude of 6 degrees above the horizon.

10 minutes after the sunrise, the lower horn of the crescent appears furtively. Picture captured with an EPSON PC3000Z digital camera.
